ABOUT
Mountain West Lacrosse Foundation (MWLF)
How we came about...
In 2018 it was announced from US Lacrosse that they are moving away from having regional chapters. This left the Utah Lacrosse Association (ULA) wondering how they would now best serve the Utah Lacrosse community if they were no longer a chapter of US Lacrosse.
By way of much consideration and planning the ULA closed its doors as a chapter of US Lacrosse but opened them as the Mountain West Lacrosse Foundation (MWLF). The ULA believes that this will be the best way to support lacrosse and continue to give back to the local community. In 2019 the Mountain West Lacrosse Foundation was established.
What we do...
Mountain West Lacrosse Foundation offers financial aid to Utah lacrosse programs in the form of grants. To meet the criteria those receiving grants must grow the game of lacrosse in the State of Utah and must be a nonprofit organization with a 501(c)(3) designation or be an educational organization or a municipality.
Grant application process...
MWLF will give out grants once a year in the fall. A complete application must be received by October 15th. A decision notification will be sent before November 15th and funds will be sent before November 30th each year.
To apply for a grant fill out the grant application (link at the top right of the page). Along with the application you will need to submit a budget (2 year budget for new organizations), and a brief letter of recommendation from a community leader, athletic director or league or conference president.
